FAQ

Answers Before Your First Visit

What new clients ask us about visits, NIMMOCARE®, pricing and booking at our Doylestown office inside the Doylestown Tennis Club.

Your first visit

What happens at my first visit?

Your first visit starts with a movement and posture assessment, including range-of-motion testing, to see how your joints and muscles are working. Dr. Shvidko explains what he finds and tailors your treatment from there: chiropractic adjustments plus the level of soft tissue therapy your body needs that day.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes you can move in, like athletic wear. Your assessment includes movement and range-of-motion testing, so loose or stretchy clothing works best.

Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?

No. You can book directly with Tenet without a referral from another doctor.

Who do you work with?

Most of our clients are active adults: tennis and racquet players, gym-goers and lifters, runners and weekend athletes, and desk workers dealing with neck and back stiffness. You don't have to be a pro athlete. If staying active and comfortable matters to you, you belong here.

NIMMOCARE® and soft tissue therapy

What is NIMMOCARE®?

NIMMOCARE® is our signature approach to sore, tender and spasming muscles. It uses steady, sustained compression near the neuromuscular bundle, where the nerve meets the muscle. As your nervous system learns the pressure is safe, it lets go of the guarding and the muscle releases. Read more about NIMMOCARE® trigger point therapy.

Does NIMMOCARE® hurt?

You'll feel firm, steady pressure on tender spots. It should feel like a "good hurt" that eases as the muscle lets go. Tell Dr. Shvidko at any point and he will adjust the pressure.

What's the difference between the 3 levels of soft tissue therapy?

Level 1 is IASTM, instrument-assisted "scraping" for surface-level restrictions. Level 2 is cupping therapy, gentle suction that decompresses muscle and fascia. Level 3 is NIMMOCARE® trigger point therapy, our most focused technique for muscles that keep guarding.

Can I book soft tissue therapy without an adjustment?

Yes. Each level can be booked online on its own, or added to a chiropractic session.
