Who We Help

Chiropractic Care for Runners, Riders and Weekend Athletes

Recover well between runs, rides and games, and keep your mobility as you push for more. At Tenet Chiropractic & Wellness in Doylestown, Dr. Vladislav Shvidko looks at how you move, then combines chiropractic adjustments with hands-on soft tissue work matched to what your body needs.

This page is for runners, cyclists, rec-league players and anyone in Bucks County who stays active on weekends and wants to recover better during the week.

Why It Keeps Coming Back

Weekend Miles Shouldn't Mean Weekday Stiffness

Repetitive strides, long rides and stop-and-go games load your hips, calves, back and feet hundreds of times in a single session. When a muscle is strained or overworked, your nervous system often holds it tight to protect it, and that guarding can stick around long after the run or game is over.

  • Post-run stretching that helps for an hour, then the tightness is back
  • Quick adjustments that don't address the muscles pulling on your hips and back
  • Being told to "just rest," when rest alone doesn't release guarded muscles

How We Help Active People

1. Get a clear picture. A movement and posture assessment with range-of-motion testing for your spine, hips and lower legs.

2. Build your custom plan. Chiropractic adjustments plus the level of soft tissue therapy your body needs.

3. Get back to your runs, rides and games. With guarded muscles released and joints moving well, you stay active with guidance to help the results last.

FAQ for Active People

Questions Runners and Weekend Athletes Ask

What happens at my first visit?

We start with a movement and posture assessment, including range-of-motion testing, to see how your spine, hips and legs are working. Dr. Shvidko explains what he finds, then treats with chiropractic adjustments and soft tissue work. Running or workout clothes are ideal.

Can I come in the day after a race or long run?

Yes. Let Dr. Shvidko know what you did so he can match the pressure and techniques to how your body feels that day.

Do I need to stop running?

Usually not. Dr. Shvidko will tell you if anything in your training should change for a while based on what he finds.

How much does a visit cost?

New client session $100, follow-up $75. Soft tissue add-ons: IASTM $30, cupping $40, NIMMOCARE® $50. We accept cash and card and do not bill insurance.
